How does it work?
Plasma produces energy by mixing the 3 elements – Solid, Liquid and Gas.
When combined, it creates a static charge causing a visible spark to the human eye without any burning occurring – leaving tidy brown spots on the skin.
It supplies energy between the metallic tip and skin which carbonises the surface of the skin creating an electric arc known and referred to as “Plasma Flash”and turns material into gas known as Sublimination – turning solid directly to gas treating a variety of skin concerns while triggering collagen renewal.

How many treatments will I need?
1 treatment is needed to achieve results where in some cases, a 2 or 3 treatment may be required which will be discussed at your consultation along with time intervals required.
As we want the fastest and best results for you, we will advise you if this is the best treatment for your skin goals as each skin is different and responds differently.
How long does it take?
Depending on the size of the area that is being treated and what is being treated, it can take anywhere from 40-90 minutes.
For larger areas, additional time and treatments may be required which will be discussed upon your consultation.
What does it feel like?
During the treatment you may feel a short and sharp electric spark with no pain to minimal discomfort as everyone’s painthreshold is different.
A topical cream is applied prior to your treatment, for smaller areas may not require this, it will discuss upon your consultation.
After the procedure, you may experience a burning sensation which ice packs can be applied to to relieve, soothe and reduce the heat.
When will I see results?
Results can take place immediately after your procedure. For skin that requires remodelling, it can take up to 3-4 months to see results as the skin needs time to heal and rebuild collagen synthesis.
What skin tones can have plasma pen treatments?
Plasma is great for fair and lighter skin tones. Darker skin tones are not a good candidate – we will provide alternative options including Laser and IPL for darker skin tones upon your consultation.
